Grahpology

SYMMETRY
Symmetry is a yardstick of the writers inner balance and developement.
Symmetry is used to establish style value.
When the upper zones are strongly developed we are dealing with a person of intelligence and ambition.
However their emotional development remains infantile.
If the middle zone is strongly developed this is a person whose sentimental and sensivity and concern for themselves are likely to result in emotional pain.
If the lower zone is overdeveloped we are dealing with a writer who is overconcerned with money.

LEGIBILTY
Legibilty is a measure of the writers sense of purposefulness.
Legible handwriters make good teachers and speakers.
They are sincere and co-operative.
But beware of the person whose writing is impressively legible.
These people are wolves in sheeps clothing

SIZE OF LETTERS
The size of a letter is indicative of the writers self reliance.
A letter may extend in four directions, up, down, right or left.
A letter may also be tall and wide.
Tall capitals are people who tower above the rest.
Tall initials come from impressive people.
Small capitals are people who are modest in nature.
They concentrate on facts, not ideas.
Wide letters are extroverted people.
Narrow letters come from loners

CONNECTION OF LETTERS
The connection of letters shows the writers attitude toward others.
In writing there are three mainly used links, garland, arcades and angles.
Deep garland indicate people who take things too tragically.
Enclosed garlends are people who tend to be calculating.
Flat garlands tend to come from the practical business man.
Square garlands tend to come from narrow minded people.
Supported garlands come from people who need emotional support in life.
General arcades show people who rely on instincts.
High arcades show artistic gifts. <>P> Low arcades show hypocrasy.
General angles show people who have contradictions in feelings.

Graphology - Slant and Pressure

It may be said by some that the right slant is the normal slant. It may also be percieved that whoever writes from left to right naturally uses the right slant.
But as we know some writers do not.
In general interprtation of writing it may be said that the left direction is interpreted as the direction towards the mother as well as the past. Left slant writing is seen more often in women than in men. We often see left slant in people who have a disturbed balance in the parantel equilibrium.
Writers with left slant are generally much closer to their mothers.
The upright slant is found in people who are very independant in life. They tend to have no inclination to either the mother or father.
Wholly upright hands are very rare. In fact this may only be achieved by a show of discipline.
The right slant is the most common and and most natural slant. The right slant is found in people in a hurry, impatient people and the active writer.

The pressure against the paper is called primary pressure. The pressure against the penholder is called secondary pressure.
The primary pressure indicates our strength and vitality. The secondary pressure indicates our aims and inner convictions.
Primary pressure can be analyzed through the contrast between thinner upper strokes and heavier downward strokes. The task is to define between pressure produced by will and pessure produced by inhibition. Genuine pressure will appear naturally. Forced pressure looks forced and even cries out.
Extreme added pressure is often seen in hands of criminals. Pressureless writing is often seen in the hands of feminine writers.

Graphology - Spacing in handwriting

SPACE BETWEEN WORDS
Space between the words is non-deliberate. When we write the words follow one another as they do in speech.
When a person speaks with pauses it may be because they are accustomed to pondering and considering before they act. It may also be because the person wants to let the words sink in to the audiences consciousness.
However, on the other hand if the pauses outweigh the importance of the speech, then we may conclude the speaker is conceited. If there is no pause between the writers words then we may say this is a person of action. This person may also be impulsive.
Sometimes writers words are widley spaced and at other times narrowly spaced. We may say that this writer is unstable in both thinking and emotions.

SPACE BETWEEN LINES
The space between the lines is most probably deiberately planned. The space between the lines can be described as the picture of the writers mind.
A person who writes with wide space lines may live a life of order and system. These people have executive ability and reasonableness. But if the space between the lines becomes too wide it may indicate a person who likes to keep their distance.
Small spaces between the lines may indicate a person who likes to be around other people. Overlapping lines may indicate a person who suffers from an emotional or mental disorder. If the lower zone descends in the following lines upper zone it may indicate a person who has strong sexual impulses.

SPACE BETWEEN LETTERS
Space between letters show the extent the writer relies upon their own intuition.
When all letters are connected it indicates a person with logical and systematic thinking.
When only some letters are unconnected it shows an artistic and intuitive thinker.
When most letters are unconnected it shows a person who is an egocentric.
Lack of end strokes indicates a shy person.
When the first letter stands apart it shows a cautious person.

THE MARGINS
Left margins are deliberatly chosen. A majority of writers will admit some deliberation in the choice concerning the width of the left margin. Only in a few cases is the right margin chosen with such purpose.
The width of the left margin might be indicative of the distance we wish to maintain to other people. However this only betrays what we want, because it is the non-deliberate right margin that shows the distance we really assume.
Wide left margins are often in handwtriting of proud or shy people. Pathologiaclly self-conscious people will watch and control both the left and right margin.
Many graphologists take the assumption that upper margins are determined by outside influences such as letterhead. It may be said that narrow upper margins betray informality and wide ones show withdrawal.
No margins is indicative of a person who wants no distance between other people. They want to be one with the world.
Wide margins are indicative of a withdrawn person.

Graphology - Direction of lines

Descending lines may be caused by depression or pessimism. Experience shows that people in a mood swing may temporarily write in descending lines. In some cases fatigue can be considered a reason for a descending line.
On the other hand ascending lines may indicate optimism. When we write we move from left to right, in other words we progress.
The activity of writing may therefore be interpreted as a movement toward the future. It may be said it represents our hopes and dreams.
A person who writes a straight line may also go straight toward his daily aim. If a person writes in a precisely straight line we may say that person is unyeilding.
People who write in convex lines (a line that ascends then descends) start their project with ambition and enthusiasm only to lose interest and give up before the task has been completed.
People who write with concave lines (a line that descends than ascends) approach their task with little optimism but gain self confidence as the task nears completion. Out of a sample of 1,000 people only 3 people were found to write concave lines.
Lines that are ascending steps are often found in people who have little stamina. Descending steps are often found in writers who bravely fight off depressive moods. Wavy, meandering lines may be indicative of moodiness.

Graphology

Graphology is a scientific method of identifying, evaluating, and understanding a person's personality through the strokes and patterns revealed by his handwriting.
Handwriting reveals hundreds of elements of the person's "personality and character" which includes glimpses into the subconscious mind, emotional responsiveness, intellect, energy, fears and defenses, motivations, imagination, integrity, aptitudes, and even sex drives . There are over 100 individual traits revealed and an unlimited number of combinations.
Handwriting is often referred to as "brain writing". Research scientists in the fields of neuro-science have categorized neuro-muscular movement tendencies as they are correlated with specific observable personality traits. Each personality trait is represented by a neurological brain pattern. Each neurological brain pattern produces unique neuro-muscular movements that is the same for every person who has that personality trait. When writing, these tiny movements occur unconsciously. Each written movement or stroke reveals a specific personality trait.
Handwriting analysts identify these strokes as they appear in handwriting and describe the corresponding personality trait. Handwriting is like body language, but is more specific and is frozen for a more detailed analysis of our unconscious movements.

Graphology has been activley used in compiling profiles for Employment, Business Partnerships and Marital Compatibility. In Switzerland, approximately 80 percent of large corporations use graphology in their hiring procedures.
Forensic document examination is not Grapholohy as it is only used to determine whether or not a document was written by the person concerned.

Conducting a Graphology Analysis
You will need a sample of spontaneous handwriting written on plain paper using a ballpoint or fountain pen of not less than 12 lines long with a signature. The age and sex of the writer. Graphology instruments needed are a magnifying glass, plastic ruler showing millimeters and a protractor for assessing the slant of the writing.
How accurate is Graphology?
A lot depends on the ability of the person doing the Graphology analysis. As an indicator of personality and behavior, Graphology is around 80-90% accurate.

Marriage Compatibility..contd

These rules of hand reading can be very usefully applied to predict marriage compatibility. Anyone can successfully make use of these rules, but following facts must be kept in view :
(1). Marriage compatibility based on sexual and emotional compatibility is primarily a psychological subject. Never can be successful in predicting these matters without being familiar with the psychological principles involved. A fair knowledge of psychological from standard textbooks is an absolute necessity :
(2). One must appreciate that between any two extreme indications of a particular hand trait, numerous variations in degree are found, and hence our conclusions must be arrived at judiciously in keeping with the degree of variation. For instance, a hand may be very thin, but the degrees of actual variation from person to person may extend over a wide range, none of which being exactly alike.
(3). Psychological traits are never judged facultywise. For the purpose of academic explanation and study, these traits are individualised, classified and explained in particularised contexts. Actually, all these traits act, interact, and modify one another in such a way that you may recognise any particular trait in any person in its classical and typical form. Ability, and competence to synthesise properly various indications of predispositions and to make a correst assessment of the personality as a whole thereform, must be acquired through patience, understanding, experience, study, and practice, before anyone attempts seroiusly to predict marriage compatibility by judging personality compatibility.

Marriage Compatibility ...Contd

The shape and build of the fingers
If the fingers are slender and flexible over the joints, it is a very positive indication of lack of restrictive control over the instinctive desires. In a woman's hand, such fingers with a weak supple thumb bespeak of a nervy person predisposed to polygamy.
If the Head and Life are also widely seperated at the begining, the useful inhibitive female tendencies are also lacking. Add to this, a jutting little finger, we have a picture of a woman of promiscuous disposition resenting any restricitive control whatsoever.
The Girdle of Venus indicates sensitivity in the emotional plane. The bumps on the finger tips also indicate sensitivity on the intellectual plane which may sometime find expression in festidiousness. If the hand is filled with numerous thin lines going on all directions, it indicates nervous sesitivity. The Via Lasciva betrays marked love for excitement.

If the main lines of the hand are thin and well traced, it is an indication of moment refinement.
If the heart line is widely curved, it indicates masculine directional trends emotions. If the heart line is straight, it shows feminine directional expressions of emotions.

The term masculine signifies a direct, physical approach. The straight type of heart line shows passiveness in approach and fastidiousness. Mental stimulation is a prerequisite to physical stimulation. This does not mean that the person with a curve type of heart line has no aesthetic discrimination, that physical stimulation is all that he or she cares for, and that the person will recieve mental satisfaction from anyone who is capable of giving physical stimulation. Nothing of this sort is implied. The curving of heart line has nothing to do with morality, and character.

The formation of the heart line should be judged in relation to the head line. If the head line is long and curves down deep into the Mount of Luna. It indicates a basic feminine, abstract and romantic mind. If this type of heart line associated with a straight type of heart line, physical approach without mental preparation will be very much repugnant to such persons. It will be difficult to bring this person down to facts life from the romantic ideas of love and sex.
If the Head line is straight, not very long and Heart line is curved, the person seldom loses sight of practical matters in romance. If the Head line is rather short and straight, you can be sure that the person's concept of beauty and appreciation of the beautiful is very much limited to the physical attributes. Such a man will insist that his wife must be beautiful first and everything afterwards. This is just a general deduction. It persupposes some desire for beautiful things, and a strong, masculine sexual urge. These are easily discernible from hand traits.
If the hand is coarse and betrays lack of any aesthetic appreciation, the person will not care for a beautiful wife, but will insist that his wife should be quite useful in material life. Such persons will not hesitate to use their wives to achieve things in the material field.
Some of the answers to the general matrimonial problems will be found in the sex factor. Sex is the foundation of marriage. It is very necessary that the sexual demands of the partners do not vary too much. Sexual demands of men and women can never be alike. At best thet can be complimentary.
If the hands of a man are pronouncedly thick, the Mount of Venus is well developed, the lifeline traces a wide curve round the Mount of Venus, we can immediately visualise that the sexual urges if the man must be vigorous and his demands for sexual satisfaction squarely met by his partner before she can expect to receive adjustments on his part. The mode and manner of the sexual satisfaction varies from time to time, because he can not be reconciled if his partner insists on conventional time and postures.
But the sexual desires of woman are strongly inhibited by social mores. Young women rarely consider sex outside a romantic framework. Very few normal women can derive pleasure from sex act if no feeling of love is associated with it. Often the man with thick hands will think of sex without associating it with any feelings of love.
If the hands of women proposed to be married to the above type of a man, are rather thin, the mounts are flat, the lifeline in both the hands is narrowly traced thereby confining the Mount of Venus to a rather narrow space, we have a woman whose feelings and demands for sexual satisfaction are not the prime factors in her psychological make-up. She can neither be quickly stimulated for the act, nor can she regard sexual satisfaction as a measure of her mental satisfaction. With this type of woman, sexual compatibility is definitely a result and not the cause of emotional compatibility.
But the man whose sexual demands are strong will assert them in no uncertain manner. Sexual compatibility will be the cause and not the effect of the emotional compatibility if his case. He will take her attitute for coldness in love and a predisposition to frigidity.
Suppose the skin texture of the hands of the man is rather coarse and that of the woman, soft. The passions of this man will sleak more direct channels of expression, where as the woman will be refined and insist on a more harmonious and aesthetic atmosphere before she can prepare herself to surrender. His approach will be crude and she will feel disgusted at the scant respect shown to her delicacy of mind.
If the skin texture of the hand is soft, it will modify his vigorous sexual demands to a great extent, and sublimate it, and he will be much more considerate for the feelings of his woman.
